Banana with a handle
- Age: 6–8 months (First tastes)
- Texture: Finger food
- Prep: 1 min
- Cook: 0 min
- Makes: 1 portion
Ingredients
- 1 banana
Contains: None of the common allergens
Method
- Cut the banana in half across. Peel the top half of the cut piece only, leaving the skin on the bottom as a handle.
- Hand it over skin-end first and let your baby gnaw the peeled part.
Safety: A ripe banana is soft enough to be safe; stay alongside anyway. Always sit your baby upright and stay with them while they eat.
Storage: Serve fresh.
Tip: The skin handle solves the one problem with banana as a finger food: it squashes to nothing in a fist.
