Ripe pear wedges

Ripe pear wedges

Ingredients

  • 1 very ripe pear

Contains: None of the common allergens

Method

  1. Peel the pear and cut into wedges as wide as your finger.
  2. Steam 3–4 minutes if it is not soft enough to squash between two fingers.
  3. Cool and hand over.
Safety: Check a wedge squashes easily between your fingers. Always sit your baby upright and stay with them while they eat.
Storage: Serve fresh.
Tip: A ripe pear is the easiest fruit to hold and gum. If it is not quite ripe, a few minutes' steam gets it there.
