Cooked salmon rice rolls
- Age: 18–24 months (Toddler meals)
- Texture: Finger food
- Prep: 15 min
- Cook: 0 min
- Makes: 2 portions
Ingredients
- 100 g cooked salmon, flaked
- 150 g cooked sushi rice, cooled
- 2 sheets nori
- 1/4 cucumber, in thin sticks
- 1/4 avocado, in strips
Contains: Fish
Method
- Check the salmon twice for bones. Lay a nori sheet on a mat, spread rice thinly, and lay salmon, cucumber and avocado in a line.
- Roll tightly and cut into thick slices with a wet knife.
Safety: Bones by hand, twice. Cooked salmon only. Slices thick enough to hold.
Storage: Eat the day it is made.
Tip: Sushi with cooked fish only — raw fish waits until the immune system is older. Nori is a new texture; some children love it, some pick it off.
