Mild teriyaki chicken

Mild teriyaki chicken

Ingredients

  • 3 chicken thighs, boneless, diced
  • 1 tbsp low-salt soy sauce
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 200 g rice
  • a handful broccoli florets

Contains: Soy

Method

  1. Fry the chicken in the oil 8 minutes until cooked through; add the soy, honey and ginger and cook 2 minutes until sticky.
  2. Steam the broccoli. Serve on rice.
  3. Chop your child's chicken small; more soy for the adults.
Safety: Cooked right through, with no pink. Honey is fine after the first birthday. Serve your child's portion first, then salt the rest for the adults. Under three, the daily limit is about 2 g of salt in total.
Storage: Fridge 1 day.
Tip: A teaspoon of honey and a tablespoon of low-salt soy for the whole pan — sweet and savoury with very little of either.
