Lamb koftas with yoghurt
- Age: 12–18 months (Family food)
- Texture: Family meal
- Prep: 10 min
- Cook: 12 min
- Makes: 2 adults and 2 children
Ingredients
- 400 g lamb mince
- 1 onion, grated
- a handful parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 4 tbsp plain yoghurt
- 4 wholemeal pittas
Contains: Milk, Wheat
Method
- Mix the mince, onion, parsley and spices. Shape into flat ovals — your child's small and thin.
- Grill or fry 5 minutes a side until cooked through.
- Serve in pitta with yoghurt; cut your child's into strips. Salt the adults' koftas.
Safety: Flattened, never ball-shaped. Cooked right through, with no pink. Serve your child's portion first, then salt the rest for the adults.
Storage: Fridge 2 days, freezer 1 month.
Tip: Flat, not round, and cut into strips — the shape does the safety work.
