Mini lamb meatballs
- Age: 10–12 months (Self-feeding)
- Texture: Finger food
- Prep: 8 min
- Cook: 10 min
- Makes: 12 meatballs
Ingredients
- 150 g lamb mince
- 2 tbsp fine oats
- 1 small courgette, grated and squeezed
- 1 pinch ground cumin
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Contains: Wheat
Method
- Mix the mince, oats, courgette and cumin with your hands.
- Roll into balls smaller than a walnut and flatten each into a disc.
- Cook in the oil over medium heat, turning, 8–10 minutes until no pink remains. Cool.
Safety: Flattened into discs, not left as balls — a round meatball is a choking shape. Cut one open to check there is no pink.
Storage: Fridge 2 days, freezer 1 month.
Tip: Lamb and cumin, with courgette to keep them soft. The discs freeze flat in a bag.
