Chicken and vegetable noodles
- Age: 12–18 months (Family food)
- Texture: Family meal
- Prep: 10 min
- Cook: 15 min
- Makes: 2 adults and 2 children
Ingredients
- 2 chicken thighs, boneless, in strips
- 150 g egg noodles
- 1 carrot, in matchsticks
- a handful broccoli florets
- 1 spring onion
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp low-salt soy sauce
Contains: Wheat, Egg, Soy
Method
- Cook the noodles. Stir-fry the chicken in the oil with the ginger 6 minutes until cooked through.
- Add the carrot and broccoli with a splash of water; cook 4 minutes until soft.
- Toss with the noodles and spring onion. Serve your child's portion with noodles snipped short, then add soy for the adults.
Safety: Noodles cut short; vegetables cooked soft. Cooked right through, with no pink. Serve your child's portion first, then salt the rest for the adults.
Storage: Eat the day it is made.
Tip: The soy goes on at the end and only for the adults; a teaspoon has more salt than a toddler's whole day.
